H2T Artistry Academy, formerly known as Head to Toe Make-up School, was founded by Aliki Zanolin in Cape Town, South Africa, over 25 years ago. Aliki has always found the world of fashion and make-up artistry incredibly exciting. Although her father initially discouraged a career in make-up and enrolled her into business school, believing the arts could not be financially sustainable, Aliki remained committed to her passion. After completing her business studies, she worked and personally funded her make-up artistry courses, both locally and internationally. She then gained valuable industry experience at both Make Up Forever and M.A.C Cosmetics. At the age of 23, Aliki decided she was ready to open her own academy for individuals who, like her, were passionate about the make-up and fashion world. The business course her father insisted on definitely helped her to become business savvy and she was able to blend her passion with the world of business, on her terms and in her own way.

Determined to establish a distinctive and respected brand in the industry, Aliki focused on creating real opportunities for her learners to enter the professional world and be taken seriously. She succeeded in doing exactly that. She secured television contracts with leading South African TV shows to provide make-up and hairstyling for presenters and guests. As demand grew, H2T students and graduates were regularly booked for these productions, as there was more work than one artist could handle. Aliki then expanded into the fashion and editorial space, where H2T was booked for major fashion weeks and leading magazine editorials such as Glamour and Cosmopolitan. H2T became a go-to brand in the industry, and hundreds of students benefited from these opportunities, which brought Aliki immense pride and satisfaction. Over the years, Aliki has represented her brand on television, in magazines, and at events as a recognised make-up specialist. The goal of H2T Artistry Academy remains unchanged: To strive for excellence, uphold professionalism, and deliver outstanding work—with a smile.
